Why Neeya wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
I want to be one of the voices for children fighting cancer because when you are young, facing a frightening disease, and feel sick it could be a scary experience. I can’t even imagine being in the situation! I don’t want children to feel lonely or alone, I want them to know people care about them. Kids sometimes can relate and communicate more effectively with people who are kids themselves. I feel like it is important to stay positive. Children who are fighting cancer may just need someone to talk to and express their thoughts to get through the day. I would like to participate by volunteering with any organization who help children fighting this disease. When you hear the word cancer, and especially know someone who has it, it is scary and makes me feel sad. I want all kids to be able to live each day to the fullest and I do not want to see them unhappy. I would talk to them with positivity and help them see the good in the world, in order to take their mind off of being sick, even for just a moment. If there is a way to use dancing to do that, I am all in to help these children!
