Why Khushi wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

I want to be a voice for children fighting cancer because I have seen how hard it is to fight this horrible disease alone. Though I don’t have cancer, I have a similar condition that forced me to stop dancing and going to public school for a time being. It took a huge toll on my mental health, not being able to do what I love and living half of my life constrained to a hospital. Kids with cancer go through so much worse, being stripped from experiencing a normal childhood that all children should have the right to have. From day to day, they strive through struggles that most can’t even imagine, and they inspire me by how they never fail to persevere through what life throws at them. They push through so much pain, and if there is anything I can do to help ease their hardships, even if it’s the smallest gesture, I would do it in a heartbeat. I would love to have the opportunity to advocate for these amazing kids with cancer who face endless obstacles everyday and whose voices aren’t heard, and most importantly, I want to provide them hope through their cancer journey.
