Why Lex is a voice for children fighting cancer:
I believe everyone should have someone who can speak up for them. I have a heart to help and serve others. Although cancer has not directly impacted me or my family, it is a disease that has always been close to my heart because it can impact anyone. You can’t catch it or do anything to prevent it. At the same time, these are still children just like me. Children who want to be seen as and feel “normal”, not just “sick”. I want to represent them and show there are many sides to these children just as there are many sides to dance. I myself love hip hop but also a classic jazz and a beautiful ballet. Just because someone has cancer it does not define them.
