Why Sophie wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
I have watched loved ones fight through cancer and have seen the toll it takes on a soul. With hospital care, needing to find a specialist and sometimes needing to travel to be seen, it is too pricey for a disease so demanding. Seeing the way it can affect a patient or family members mental health decline is devastating, dance has been an amazing source of entertainment or coping. If I can help anyone in any way, that is all that matters. With cancer affecting so many people, helping in even a small way means the world to me. To be able to bring a smile to another person who is fighting so hard is so amazing.
