Why Madelyn wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
I want to be a voice for children fighting cancer because cancer is a word that no one wants to think about, a word that makes people anxious, an ugly word that many children and their families have to face every day. I would be so grateful if I knew that I am helping to make a difference in these innocent children’s lives in some way. I have volunteered for several years with another charity organization, Hayden’s Heroes, for a young child who lost his battle to a debilitating illness called Histiocytosis. It would be an honor to extend my efforts to other children suffering from and surviving cancer.
