Why Emma wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

I want to be a voice for children fighting cancer because I have seen it’s effects first hand. Our community has been actively involved in helping raise awareness for our local children and their families battling cancer through fundraisers and walks. I joined Millennium Dance Complex of Pittsburgh’s Always Dancing With Grace dance team last year. We used our gift of dance to raise awareness and monies for Reflections of Grace Foundation. Together, our group raised well over $13,000. I also use my voice as a part of the Love Your Melon, Melon Mafia who donates 50% of their proceeds to children and their families battling cancer. On a different level, I support my dance teacher/choreographer, who is a PSU student and counselor for Camp Kesem, by donating and promoting the Camp. This Camp is helping children year round, who have parents battling cancer and it’s free for the participants. I truly believe by networking and promoting we educate more people to serve and be available to help others in their time of need. Thank you!
