Why Aubrey wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

A while back my brothers best friend, Sawyer, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He just finished his battle, but I not only got to see how much it affected him, but I also got to see how much it affected his family and my brother. It hurt my heart so much and I wanted to know more about what Sawyer had, and so I started doing some research. Once I did I immediately wanted to know more and more. I started following a variety of children who have or have had cancer on Instagram. I had no clue who these kids were, but they felt so close to me. After Lily Weaver passed I was broken. I realized something needed to be done and that these kids are so worth more than 4%. Out of the eleven accounts I followed of children who had cancer five of them had passed in less than a three-week span. I knew that cancer was my passion and I wanted to start doing something about it now. I think the thought of using dance to raise awareness is incredible, therefore, that is why I have fallen in love with the organization Dance Hope Cure.
