Why Anna wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

Why do I want to be a voice for children fighting cancer?
I’m going to be completely honest. I don’t have an ounce of personal experience with cancer. I’ve never really known anyone who suffered from cancer, never heard a first-hand story about cancer. My case is rare.
Most people are so affected by this disease that’s taken over our world so quickly that when people look in history books from this time it will be an age of its own, the age where cancer was incurable.
I want to fight so when people look in those history books, there will be another section. A section that talks about how determined we were. How every single person came together. Dropped everything they had against each other and united to find a cure no matter the cost. People from near and far, from all over the world. Because this is the outbreak of the age and because we will find a cure. That’s why I want to fight. Among all of the reasons we have to divide and fight each other, this is what will unite us to fight the real enemy.

I started dance when I was twelve years old. I’m fourteen years old now and I recently bought my first pair of pointe shoes. I still put all of my energy into ballet because I tire of the fact that nearly every professional ballerina started at age two. That won’t determine my future. How hard I work will determine my future. I’m fascinated with the absolute falseness of statistics and I will prove statistics are not the one and only answer.
Please consider my determination. I would love to be a voice for children fighting cancer, and it would be absolutely splendid if I could do that through dance.
