Why Alexia wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
When my mom was 18 she was in love with a young man that was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor attached to his heart. After battling cancer for a year he passed away at 19 years old. My mom has shared her story with me and what he went through and how she felt during their time together and how she fell into a dark place after losing him and what it took her to find hope and love again. Then when my little brother was 3 he almost died during a grand mal seizure from a tumor on his brain. His tumor was found to not be cancerous, but changed us all forever. I want children battling cancer to know they are not alone and have love and support there for them.
