Why Alexa wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
2 years ago I watched my Aunt start chemotherapy after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Her story had a happy ending, but I know not everyone’s story does and no child should ever have to go through a battle with cancer. I would make a great ambassador because I feel every child deserves a bright future and I want to help be a voice to bring an end to cancer. I have been actively involved in my local Relay for Life for the past 7 years raising money for cancer research with the American Cancer Society. Being an ambassador, will allow me to raise awareness and become a voice for children with cancer. It would be an honor to combine my passion for dance and the arts, to support kids going through cancer.
