Why Alexa wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
Cancer has touched so many people that all of us can say we have been impacted by it in some way: whether it be a family member, a friend, an acquaintance, or someone we have read about. It’s the word, the disease, that many of us fear most. And while research continues to find a cure, there is still so much more to do, and so much we can do to support those who are dealing with it head on. No child afflicted with cancer should have to fight it alone. My generation has an opportunity to make a difference and not only find a cure in our lifetime but be a friend, a voice, a shoulder to lean on, and an advocate for those who need us to help them fight the fight.
