Why Twyla wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
I would like to be a voice for children fighting cancer because although I do not have cancer, childhood cancer is something that can really destroy dreams and cause children to loose hope. As a spokesperson I would like to encourage the youth to keep fighting even when they feel there is no fight left in them. The things we go through in life only make us stronger and I want to make sure they know that. I also recently lost a member of my dance school to cancer, he was about 10. The loss of him inspired me to always dance like it is my last time dancing and never stop reaching for goals that I wanted to obtain. I hope I can be a voice for children fighting against cancer!
