Why Sofia wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
My passion for helping children with cancer springs from my love of my brother who has a rare disease, mitochondrial disease. I have seen him struggle, hurt, and be alone when going through surgeries. I want to be there for a child with cancer because I have seen the pain and suffering of a loved one. I want to spread joy and love to the children when it counts, give them hope that someone like me is praying for them and loving on them. There is not enough funding that goes into childhood cancers and if all of us work together to raise awareness and get more funding, then we will be so much more closer to a cure. That is a world I am beyond blessed to be a part of.
