Why Monique wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

Dance has always had a huge impact on my life. It allows me to express my emotions, no matter how joyful or sad they are. After I dance, I always feel better, and I have hopes of making others feel better. I believe it is a way to make people come together and to bring happiness and light into wherever it is needed. Children battling cancer need happiness and light in their lives; they are so strong and they need as much support as possible, which is why Dance Hope Cure makes such a large impact.
