Why Madison wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

Cancer is something that is laced in my DNA. Many members of my family have had run-ins and there is a high chance that I may one day have an experience myself. Yet, I choose not to dwell on that because I try to focus on the positives in my life such as dance. Dance has been always been the most important thing in my life. I even chose to major in it in college. Movement is my creative outlet. It’s what I do when I need to release my emotion. In the last few years, I have had the honor of teaching and dancing alongside a wonderful young girl named Lily Lutz. She is a bright, optimistic individual whose passion for dance truly runs deep. Lily has had a number of run-ins with cancer and has won her battle before. Yet as we all know, cancer is relentless. To my knowledge, it has come back. I know she will win again, she can do anything. Lily has been such an inspiration to me. I look up to her and wish to have her strength one day. I want to be a voice for her, for all.
