Why Kristen wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
I was diagnosed with leukemia when I was just 3 years old. I had only been dancing for 7 months at that time but already loved it so much. Through 27 months of chemo I had to miss lots of classes and one production. I finished treatment when I was 6 and have been dancing ever since. I’m 13 now and on a competitive dance team. Those are my feet in the pointe shoes next to combat boots picture that Mike took a couple of years ago. It’s my greatest wish for every child to be cured and for childhood cancer to end forever. Together we can make it stop.
