Why Kelly wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

I want to be a voice for children fighting cancer because of the things I wish every person could experience. Everyday I am fortunate enough to dance without worry for my bodily health and, because of that, I am eternally grateful. Dance is my way to express feelings and convey a story through physical activity. Because I’ve had the opportunity to feel that incredible emotional connection to movement, I want more than anything to represent children who are unable to do the same due to a disease that they fight against everyday. A disease that is detrimental to innocent human’s bodies for rationale unreachable. A disease that can invade our tissue and kill us from the inside. However, though it may invade our tissue, I will not let it invade our soul as well. I want to be able to use the way dance makes my soul be a voice for those who must go through this evil disease because I hope that, one day, every child will experience feeling what I reach when I dance.
