Why Katie wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

I have long been an active advocate and volunteer for Dancers Against Cancer. I have helped raise awareness and funds to support dancers battling cancer. I have performed at fundraisers, conducted my own fundraising campaigns and attended the Industry Dance Awards to help distribute funds to cancer survivors. I have two close friends, both dancers, who have survived cancer. I am proud to promote this most important cause through my dancing, my social media and my pageant platform. Together we can make a difference!
