Why Katey is a voice for children fighting cancer:
From a very young age I loved to dance. After my cancer diagnosis, I experienced so many horrible side effects that made me think I would never be able to dance again. Despite that, I was able to come back to dance just a few months ago as I became stronger. I dance to prove to myself that my cancer doesn’t define me. I want to show all the other children fighting cancer that their diagnosis doesn’t define them either, and that even when it feels like you may never be able to go back to what you love, things can get better.
