Why Kate wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

Kate Campa is a 15 year old freshman attending Gila Ridge High School. She has been dancing since the age of 2 1/2 and at an early age started her competition dance career with her first solo at the age of 5. Kate has been recognized with scholarships for different dance companies and programs to include Debbie Allen, LADM, and Kairos Dance Prep. She is an incredibly gifted dancer, has a contagious smile and loves with no bounds. Kate would like to tell her story. Kate has been diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma on December 2018, a rare form of bone cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment under the care of the Phoenix Children’s Hospital. In conjunction with her chemotherapy, Kate will soon start her radiation treatment at Mayo Clinic. She wants to be able to tell her story, inspire others to tell their story and show people that CANCER should not define who you are but rather give you a relentless attitude to keep moving forward.
