Why Isabella wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
I’ve always wanted to do something to make a difference. My family and I love to give back. Together we have raised funds for children of Fallen officers, fed veterans and even helped raise funds for turkeys for families during thanksgiving. However, this past year I had a really bad infection on one of my arms and had to see a specialist at our local children’s hospital. While I was there I became curious with the hospital and all the children that weren’t fortunate like me to go home at the end of the day. I knew at that moment that I wanted to do something to help, something to make them smile, something to give them hope. The following week when I was able to go back to school I began my task. I started by telling my teachers how I felt and what I wanted to do. The change I wanted to be. So with their help I got my class to make get well and friendship cards that I could take to the children at the hospital. With this, I feel like my mission hasn’t ended. I recently started dancing this year after my grandfather past away from cancer. He always wanted to see me be a dancer. When I dance I feel like an angel and anything is possible. I would love to be a voice for children battling cancer. I would be honored to help make a difference.
