Why Ava wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

When I was little my great grandmother passed away from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, at the time I was only four and had no idea what it was and really what had happened. Today I recognize how serious it is but she was a fighter and she fought until the end. It made me so much more aware of cancer as I grew up and I learned quickly that this could happen to anyone at any given time and that we should live everyday to it’s fullest. Today I would like to help with what I can so, I would not only like to be a voice for children fighting cancer but also love and take pride in being a voice for them and bring awareness to pediatric cancer in the world. It breaks my heart to know that children are suffering from this awful disease all over the world and if there is someway that I can help then I will make sure to do my part to help win the battle against cancer.
