Why Anslee wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

I am a childhood cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with High-risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when I was 21 months old. I went through 2 1/2 years of treatment. I want to be a voice for other children fighting cancer because I’ve been through what they’ve been through, and I don’t want them to feel sad or alone. I want them to know how strong they are. My mom tells me how there needs to be more funding for childhood cancer research, and I want to do what I can to help. I love to dance, and I started dancing as soon as I was able to during my treatment. The doctors said it was a good form of exercise and physical therapy for my muscles and legs that were affected by the chemo I was receiving. Four years after my treatment is done, and I still LOVE to dance and it’s still what I use to help my neuropathy and tight muscles that are a result of my treatment. To be able to use what I love as a way to help other childhood cancer warriors would be awesome!
