Why Allison wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:
I would like to be an ambassador because I, myself, am a dancer with cancer. I have recently endured brain surgery to remove an orange sized meningioma and went through 6 weeks of intense proton radiation. My last MRI in February showed only scar tissue. I am hoping it does not come back. During the process, I did lose my hair. I kept getting stronger because I knew I wanted to dance on a stage again. Since receiving radiation, I have been able to perform in 3 competitions. I may not be at my best, but I will keep working!
