Why Abigail wants to be a voice for children fighting cancer:

I have been blessed with so many gifts, without the weight of physical and emotional barriers, which allow me to experience life in a way that others fighting a life-threatening illness may never have the chance. I believe it’s my responsibility to use these gifts to motivate others to look outside themselves–even, if only to their own backyard–and bring both inspiration and positivity where it’s in short supply. Children, especially children, should not know hopelessness. Children should not know pain and despair. The words children and cancer should not share a sentence. I believe people, at heart, want to be a part of something bigger than themselves, but they need help from others like myself who are willing to guide them where they are most needed. An army of these motivated people needs to be raised to battle childhood cancer. I want to be in the forefront mobilizing those troops.
